College Scholarships
Each year the College will offer a number of Scholarships to students entering the College and also to students already in the College. The purpose of such scholarships will be to encourage talented and/or deserving students to enrol at the College as well as rewarding students who have been an active part of the College family for some time.
Scholarships would be for the duration of one year only.
Scholarships would be offered in a number of areas across the College including:

SPECIAL CHARACTER
|
Four scholarships of $500 each, three to students entering the College and one to a student already at the College. To be decided on by the contribution students make to the Special Character of the contributing school or in the College.

ACADEMIC
|
Four Scholarships of $800 each, two to students entering the College and two to students already at the College. Scholarships are to be awarded on the basis of outstanding academic performance at the contributing school or in the College.

MUSIC
|
A sum of $1500 is available to Music students entering the College. This could be distributed as three scholarships of $500 each but the final distribution is decided by the Awarding committee (Music teacher and BOT member in consultation with the Principal)

CULTURAL
|
Two scholarships of $500 each to students who show a strong commitment to cultural pursuits.

|
FEES
|
An important aspect of the Special Character of the College is to help the needy in our community. Three scholarships of $500 each to be available to assist students entering or already in the College.

SELECTION CRITERIA : Applicants must be eligible to be enrolled as a Preference Student.
Scholarships are also offered through the St John's College (Hamilton) Foundation Trust.
