Principal's Welcome

On behalf of St John's College, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our school. The College was founded by the Marist Order in 1961. St John's College offers a first class education for young men throughout the Waikato and beyond. The school environment is unique with an extensive site overlooking the city and magnificent facilities next door to the University of Waikato.

The Marist Charism is central to the Special Character of the College. Our aim is to develop well qualified young men with strong Christian values who contribute well to our society.

We have a fine record of academic, sporting and cultural achievement and encourage each student to make the most of his talents. Celebrating success in all areas is an important part of the school culture and signals a community that is proud of it's students and staff.

We have a great deal to offer parents who are interested in a Catholic education for their sons and invite you to visit our school.
