We're so excited for and proud of Year 13 student Martin Tamoaieta. He has qualified as a single scull rower to represent Kiribati at the Youth Olympics to be held in Argentina in October this year. Martin participated in a Pacific Nations Development Camp in Vanuatu over the summer break, which culminated in a FISA Qualifying Race against other Pacific Island representatives. Martin smoked his opponents, winning his 1000m race by over 13 seconds! Here's Martin below, who proudly competed in his St John's rowsuit.

We're also enormously grateful to Mr Drew Tierney, our departing TIC Rowing and coach extraordinaire. Mr Tierney has been hugely supportive of Martin's development and bid to qualify for the Youth Olympics.
