We're changing the 30 November  Documents Day format this year, so please check here for what's required for Senior students.

Year 13s below

Dear Parent/Caregiver,

Documents Day, 30 November, is an important administrative day for all of our year 13 leavers and they are expected to attend. It is the day where time is set aside by the college for students to formally sign out and complete their leavers’ form.  All school property must be returned (eg sports gear, text books, library books) and then they can collect any outstanding certificates, the yearbook, leavers’ hoodie etc… A final statement of account will be sent out week commencing 3 December.

Please ensure that your son is aware of the schedule for the day (outlined below).

We are mindful that students are only coming in for a limited amount of time and as such they can be in mufti. However, any students sitting NCEA exams that day must be in full school uniform.

  • Students to arrive in the atrium between 9:30 and 10:45am
  • Return any blazers, donate uniform
  • Leavers form issued - only signatures from teachers on a few selected courses are required. Students go round and collect necessary signatures from staff/complete details on leavers form
  • Return to atrium - Issued with leavers hoodie, year book and any outstanding school certificates/photos etc Please note one yearbook will be issued to the eldest child who is attending the college (if there is more than one student in attendance).

This is the last opportunity for any outstanding blazers that have been hired to be returned to the college - these must be dry cleaned prior to return.

It is important that students arrive within the time window allocated above to ensure that the morning runs smoothly.

Staff will only be signing the leavers form when any outstanding items are returned. Please remember to bring:

  • Any blazer that needs to be returned (it must have been dry cleaned)
  • Outstanding Sports kit – will need to be returned to the collection point in the atrium
  • Any library books still out on loan
  • Textbooks are other resources that have been loaned by curriculum areas

If you have any old items of our current uniform (especially ties in good condition) that you would be happy to donate, please bring them along, there will be a collection point in the atrium. These items can make a big difference to some of our students.

As a reminder, there are still a few parents who need to pay NZQA fees. These fees must now be paid directly to NZQA, not the school. If you still owe fees, please make sure that you pay before 1 December to avoid the $50 late fee that NZQA apply to payments after this date.

In the event that he is unable to attend on 30 NOvember he must contact the college office directly (07856 7091) and arrange a time to come in between 26-29 November. Please note that leavers hoodies will not be issued prior to 30 November.

On behalf of the college I thank you for your continued support this year.

In The Spirit of Saint John,

Dominic Tester

Deputy Principal
