CATHOLIC DIOCESE FEES
An account is sent from the Bishop's office and is payable direct to the Diocese by post, by phone with credit card or by direct contact to set up an automatic payment. The current charge for 2010 is $680.00 (including GST) per year.
These fees are set by the Catholic Diocese and are subject to change.
DONATION TO SCHOOL'S GENERAL FUND
Parents are asked to pay a donation to the School's General Fund of:
$330 for families with one child at the college
$500 for families with two children at the college
$575 for families with three or more children at the college
These costs are to increase for 2011 to $350/$550/$600
OTHER COSTS
Retreats : Year 11 $10 Year 12 $10 Year 13 $15
Graphics & Technology, Food Technology, ICTandArt
Year 10 Camp is held at the start of December, and is charged separately ($100 - $300 depending on chosen Camp or Activity).
Sports Charges : These are set and administered by the Sport Club in each code. Each season will usually start with an enrolment and registration day when charges are payable before the student is able to play the desired sport.
NATIONAL SCHOOL QUALIFICATIONS

Every student has the responsibility to represent himself, his family and his College well, by being correctly and tidily dressed at all times, especially in public when travelling to and from College. Students out of uniform are required to have a note from parents giving reasons and a time of return to full uniform. The College has a Policy to help any student who, for purely financial reasons, cannot be correctly dressed. Contact the Principal for more information. Summer Uniform Years 9 to 12: College Polo-shirt and Grey Shorts. College Blue Jersey (if required) with embroidered monogram. Plain brown or black sandals with heel strap worn correctly. Year 13 : College Polo-shirt with light coloured fashion style shorts with tan coloured belt. Tan boat shoes. |

Winter Uniform Years 9 to 12: College Polo-shirt and grey shorts or grey trousers. College Jersey or College jacket. Black leather nuggetable lace up shoes (High ankle boots or suede shoes are not correct uniform) College socks - Grey with gold/white bands. - If wearing grey trousers then black or grey socks. |

Year 13: Dress code chosen by senior students with management approval. No. 1. Uniform for Year 13 and Senior Sports Teams is the normal College Winter Uniform, black/grey trousers with a white shirt and the College tie.

All school uniform can be purchased from NZ Teamwear on the corner of Tristram and Rostrevor Streets. Uniform can also be ordered online and delivered.

Workbook Requirements for 2010
Pupils who wish to enrol are considered under three headings
Preference:
Students who have an established link with the Catholic Church. This usually implies a Catholic Baptism and a recently signed "Preference Card". Final acceptance of a place at St John's College will be confirmed upon receipt of a $200.00 non-refundable deposit. This will contribute towards your costs.
Non-Preference:
The College may accept up to 38 students who do not have Preference enrolment.
Overseas (Fee-paying):
The College will take approximately 25 students in 2009
ENROLMENT PROCEDURE
Term 2 :
Staff from the College visit each primary and intermediate school and information sheets and enrolment packages are distributed.

Term 3 :
All students who have returned an enrolment form are invited to a short interview at the College. This enables parents to check on any details they wish to and to confirm details of courses.
Mid November:
All Year 9 students for 2011 are invited to spend an "Orientation Day" at the College. They will meet staff and present students and visit classes and learn about their early days of 2011.
