March 26th was our first family spirit afternoon. Most form classes had a shared lunch and the afternoon culminated in our very first Interhouse Haka Competition. The Kapa Haka group took leadership within the houses. Year 13 showed good leadership in the performances, after having come to terms with the School Haka during our Leadership Programme at the beginning of the year. Year 9 had also spent time learning the haka during their orientation programme. other year levels had spent some time getting up to speed. The atmosphere and the ihi and wehi was impressive for a first time event but there is still plenty to work on.

Congratulations go to Roncalli as the inaugural winners of the competition.
