Year 9 Students being welcomed to the College on their first day with a pōwhiri

St John's College is a State Integrated Catholic School, and as a result gives preference to Catholic boys.

There are five criteria under which a student can gain preference status to a Catholic school, with a recently signed "Preference Card".

Details are on the Enrolment Policy page

To enrol as a non-preference student please return your Enrolment Contract and a covering letter explaining your reasons for enrolment at Saint John’s College.  Non-preference students will go onto a waiting list.  When a position is offered, final acceptance will be confirmed on receipt of full payment of the year’s costs.  It is expected that the annual cost will be paid by 1st February each year that your son is enrolled at St John’s College.

Overseas (Fee-paying)

The College has approximately 30 overseas students each year. Please refer to the International page for further information.
