Football at the College is going from strength to strength. Consistently our teams perform at the highest level both on & off the field.
Historically, the College regularly fields 4 Junior & 4 Senior teams each year. The Premier teams for each age group compete in the highest Waikato Secondary School divisions and attend National Tournaments (Hillsdene & Lotto Premier) during Winter Tournament Week.
SJC Football is well supported by our parents fulfilling various roles - either coaching, managing, refereeing or transporting our boys across the Waikato region. We are also proudly supported by the involvement of staff who either coach or manage teams.
The College is very fortunate to have the services of Mr. Derek Tieku (1st XI coach), Mr. Sam Slone and Matt Brew (2nd XI coaches) and Mr Chan Park (Colts A coach) all who have attended coaching courses and have a wealth of experience to pass on to our boys while coaching.
Trials are always held in Term 1 for team selections. Trainings are either at Hillcrest Park or Clyde Park.
