Congratulations to SJC Old Boy Liam Coombes-Fabling who was called in to the NZ Sevens training squad. Liam joined the team to participate in an Olympic preparation tournament this weekend. The former SJC 1XV first-five got plenty of time on field with the 'All Blacks Sevens White' team which beat their Black counterparts in both televised games.  While it was a step up for Coombes-Fabling he didn't look out of place - we saw his astute positional play, bursts of speed and attacking flair, resulting in two fantastic tries to help his team to their wins.   This lad just keeps edging closer to the big time - a true testament for hard work, passion and taking every opportunity.  Kia Kaha, Liam!
